Dog Safety

Dog interactions can be pleasant and rewarding and as a dog owner, you’re responsible for keeping your dog under control at all times.

This includes keeping your dog on a leash outside your property unless you are in a designated ‘off-leash’ area, ensuring your dog can’t leave your property without your knowledge, adequately disposing of your dog’s waste, and remembering that some people are intimidated or annoyed by dogs and wish to be ‘dog-free’.

Additionally, you should always ask permission from a dog’s owner before approaching or petting a dog. Pat dogs on their chests rather than their heads, and supervise your children at all times when a dog is nearby.
